On 12th November every member of the OT committee in England met at Skinners Hall to dine out the retiring Honorary Secretary, Tim Denham.
Tim has served Tonbridge and the OTs loyally for 20 years, nursing along presidents Colin Cowdrey and David Kemp and ‘playing in’ the current holder. He has freely given hours of time to producing such publications as the Blue Book and the OT Register, as well as marshalling the committee and carrying out their wishes.
Above all, he has supported everything Tonbridgian, past and present, thereby spreading goodwill and good practice for those who follow. In the process he has brought immense good humour and charmed many friends.
Shortly after the dinner Tim received a case of claret – a gift from appreciative OTs.
Happily his wisdom will not be lost to the Society. He is now a vice-president and we hope he will continue to drive the length and breadth of the country in the cause of Tonbridge affairs.
