Old Tonbridgians 161 - 9 ( off 47 overs)
Old Malvernians (set 147 off 40 overs) 148 - 4 (32.2 overs)
In a rain affected final at Richmond CC, the OTs elected to bat after a delayed start. The batsmen never really looked at home in the conditions, and wickets fell regularly during their innings, which was twice interrupted by rain, (on the first occasion for almost two hours) against a tight Old Malvernian attack. The main runs were contributed by Chris Walsh (34), James Beeny (21), Jono Arscott (32), and Chris Hammond (24*).
Further rain reduced the target for the Old Malvernians to 147, and Hardinges and Gifford gave them a sound start, taking the score to 83 before Gifford was bowled by Ali Owen-Browne. The next three wickets fell at 110, 117 and 142, and the Old Malvernians, who always had overs and wickets in hand, finished up winning comfortably with seven overs to spare.
