A Reunion lunch was held on 20th January 2005 at the Caledonian Club in London for the survivors of the unbeaten XV of 1949. Sadly three members were absent; Colin Cowdrey and Bill Shaw had died and John Linington was unable to be present owing to poor health.
The cheerful occasion was also attended by Logie Bruce Lockhart, the XV's celebrated coach, and the Captain and outstanding scrum-half of the current unbeaten School XV, Douglas Monro and Rob Springall. Doug and Rob were warmly welcomed; the former spoke well and also undertook to arrange a similar function for his XV in 50 years time. Anthony Hudson, OT President, presided and Peter Morris was also present.
Some members who went on to greater achievements rugby-wise (Logie had already played for Scotland) were David Marques (England and the Lions), Peter Fuller (Captain of Sussex) and Derek Whiting (Kent).
